Panel Data Synthetic Control Method
De panel data synthetische controlemethode schat het causale effect van een interventie op een enkele behandelde eenheid door een datagedreven gewogen combinatie van onbehandelde eenheden te construeren – een synthetische controle – die het pre-interventie uitkomsttraject van de behandelde eenheid het best reproduceert. Het verschil tussen de behandelde eenheid en zijn synthetische tegenhanger na de interventie is het geschatte behandelingseffect.
