전형적 사례 표집은 연구자가 대상 집단 내에서 일반적이거나, 정상적이거나, 가장 흔한 것을 대표하는 사례를 의도적으로 선택하는 의도적 전략입니다. 이상치(outliers)나 가능한 가장 넓은 변이를 찾는 대신, 목표는 전형적인 경험, 프로그램 또는 현상이 그것에 익숙하지 않은 이해관계자나 청중에게 어떻게 보이는지를 설명하고 전달하는 것입니다. 이 전략은 질적 평가 연구 및 프로그램 보고서 작성에 널리 사용됩니다.
