패널 기반 탐색적 양적 연구는 동일한 참가자 표본을 여러 측정 시점에 걸쳐 추적하여 단일 스냅샷으로는 드러낼 수 없는 패턴, 관계 및 변화 과정을 발견합니다. 연구 목표가 탐색적이어서(미리 정해진 가설을 검증하는 것이 아니라 구조를 밝히는 것), 이론이 미발달하고 관련 변수가 아직 잘 이해되지 않은 신흥 주제 영역에서 특히 가치 있는 설계입니다.
