가설 검정 연구 — 확증적 양적 설계
가설 검정 연구는 연구자가 이론으로부터 하나 이상의 명시적이고 반증 가능한 명제를 도출하고, 이를 귀무가설(H0)과 대립가설(H1)로 번역하며, 경험적 데이터를 수집한 후, H0를 기각하기에 증거가 충분한지를 결정하기 위해 추론 통계 검정을 적용하는 양적 설계이다. 이 접근법은 사회, 행동, 보건 및 자연 과학 전반에 걸쳐 확증 과학의 지배적인 패러다임이다.
