해석적 비판 담론 분석(interpretive CDA)은 비판 담론 분석의 권력-이데올로기 렌즈와 의미 형성, 맥락, 연구자 자신의 위치성을 전면에 내세우는 해석주의 인식론을 결합한다. 이는 언어가 사회 현실을 어떻게 구성하고, 권력 관계를 정당화하거나 도전하며, 이데올로기적 가정을 어떻게 유통시키는지를 탐구하는 동시에, 연구 대상 텍스트와 분석가의 독해 모두 사회적으로 위치하고 맥락에 의존한다는 점을 인정한다.
