Field-based Critical Discourse Analysis (Field-based CDA)는 피에르 부르디외의 사회학적 개념인 장(field) — 고유한 규칙, 자본, 위치를 가진 구조화된 사회 공간 — 을 비판적 담론 분석(Critical Discourse Analysis)의 언어적, 비판적 도구와 통합한다. 이 접근법은 언어가 특정 제도적 또는 사회적 장 내에서 권력 관계를 어떻게 구성하고, 정당화하며, 도전하는지를 검토하며, 텍스트를 고립된 것으로 취급하기보다는 더 넓은 사회학적 맥락에 위치시킨다.
