対応のあるt検定は、同じ被験者に対して行われた2つの測定値（例：読書前と読書後）を比較し、平均変化量がゼロと異なるかどうかを判断するためのパラメトリック仮説検定である。これは、1908年にStudent（W. S. Gosset）によって導入されたt分布に基づいており、生データではなく、被験者内の差分スコアを扱う。
