順序尺度の開発
順序尺度の開発とは、回答選択肢が順序付けられているものの、必ずしも等間隔ではない系列（最も一般的なのはリッカート型フォーマット、例：1 = 強く反対から5 = 強く賛成）をなす多項目測定尺度の体系的な構築と妥当性検証である。これは、項目を連続量として扱うのではなく、項目の順序的性質を尊重する心理測定学的技法を適用するものである。
