ネットワーク計量経済学は、個人のアウトカムがソーシャルネットワーク上の隣人の行動や特性によってどのように因果的に形成されるかを推定します。Bramoullé, Djebbari, and Fortin (2009) によって定式化されたこのフレームワークは、行正規化された隣接行列を線形回帰に組み込み、内生的なピア効果（アウトカムの模倣）、外生的な文脈効果（隣人の属性の影響）、および相関効果（共有された環境）を分離し、ネットワークトポロジーを用いて有効な操作変数（IV）を構築します。
