Bayesovska analiza snage (osiguranje)

Bayesovska analiza snage — također nazvana osiguranje — metoda je određivanja veličine uzorka koja zamjenjuje frekventistički pojam snage vjerojatnosno ponderiranim prosjekom preko apriorne raspodjele veličine učinka. Prvi put formalizirana od strane Spiegelhaltera i Freemana (1986.), a dalje razvijena od strane O'Hagana, Stevensa i Campbella (2005.), odgovara na pitanje: s obzirom na našu trenutnu nesigurnost o stvarnom učinku, koja veličina uzorka daje nam visoku ukupnu vjerojatnost postizanja statistički značajnog rezultata?
