Diskriminantna valjanost u kompjuteriziranom adaptivnom testiranju (CAT) proces je procjene kojim se potvrđuje da mjerna ljestvica primijenjena putem CAT-a mjeri svoju namijenjenu konstruktnu varijablu odvojeno od srodnih, ali konceptualno različitih konstrukata. Unatoč tome što mehanizam odabira stavki u adaptivnom testiranju mijenja skup stavki za svakog ispitanika, moraju se priložiti dokazi da se rezultati dobiveni CAT-om ne preklapaju pretjerano s rezultatima teorijski različitih ljestvica.
