Konstruktna valjanost u računalno adaptivnom testiranju (CAT) procjenjuje mjere li procjene latentne sposobnosti koje generira CAT instrument doista namijenjeni psihološki ili obrazovni konstrukt. Budući da algoritmi adaptivnog testiranja odabiru stavke pojedinačno za svakog ispitanika, dokazi o valjanosti moraju uzeti u obzir jedinstvenu izloženost stavkama i bodovanje temeljeno na teoriji odgovora na stavke (IRT) koje su jedinstvene za CAT administracije.
