Protok prometa (LWR model)

Model Lighthill-Whitham-Richards (LWR) makroskopski je model protoka prometa koji promet tretira kao kompresibilnu tekućinu, primjenjujući očuvanje vozila i odnos protoka i gustoće. Model, neovisno predstavljen od strane Lighthilla i Whithama (1955.) te Richardsa (1956.), predviđa širenje prometnih valova, formiranje zagušenja i ponašanje uskih grla na autocestama.
