Shared Frailty Model for Clustered Survival Data

Shared frailty-modellen, introduceret af Vaupel, Manton og Stallard i 1979, udvider standard overlevelsesregression ved at inkorporere en tilfældig effekt – 'frailty' – der indfanger uobserveret heterogenitet blandt individer eller klynger. Når overlevelsesudfald måles på individer, der deler et fælles miljø (patienter på samme hospital, medlemmer af samme familie, dyr i samme kuld), tager en frailty-term højde for den afhængighed inden for klyngen, som almindelig Cox-regression ignorerer.
