Accelerated Failure Time (AFT) model

Accelerated Failure Time-modellen er en parametrisk regressionsmetode til overlevelsesanalyse — formelt gennemgået og anbefalet af L. J. Wei i 1992 — hvor kovariater fungerer som multiplikative faktorer, der direkte strækker eller komprimerer tid-til-hændelse-skalaen. I modsætning til Cox proportional-hazards-modellen, som modellerer, hvordan kovariater forskubber hazardraten, udtrykker AFT-modeller kovariateffekten som en acceleration eller deceleration af selve tidsaksen.
