ATR-FTIR

Attenuated Total Reflectance (ATR) Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spektroskopi er en variant af konventionel FTIR, der måler infrarød absorption via evanescent-bølge-interrogation af prøver i direkte kontakt med en krystal med højt brydningsindeks. Udviklet af Harrick og Fahrenfort i 1960'erne, er ATR-FTIR nu den dominerende form for FTIR-spektroskopi, der muliggør hurtig, ikke-destruktiv karakterisering af organiske forbindelser, polymerer, belægninger og biologiske materialer uden omfattende prøveforberedelse.
