SERS

Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) forstærker svage Ramansignaler med mange størrelsesordener, når analyttenheder er adsorberet på specielt præparerede metal (typisk sølv eller guld) nanostrukturerede overflader. Opdaget af Fleischmann, Hendra og McQuillan i 1974, muliggør SERS detektion af vibrationssignaturer fra enkelte molekyler og ultra-sporforurenende stoffer, hvilket revolutionerer analytisk kemi og retsmedicin.
