SAXS

Small-Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) er en røntgenspredningsteknik i opløsning, der måler den overordnede form og størrelse af makromolekyler og nanopartikler ved at analysere spredningsintensiteten i lave vinkler (0,1-10 grader). Udviklet af Kratky og kolleger i 1950'erne, giver SAXS information om molekylær radius, aggregeringstilstand og overordnet form uden krav om krystallisation eller fiksering, hvilket gør den ideel til at studere native proteinkonformationer og dynamik.
