Polytomisk eksplorativ faktoranalyse
Polytomisk eksplorativ faktoranalyse (EFA) udvider standard EFA til ordinale kategoriske (Likert-type) svardata ved at erstatte Pearson-korrelationsmatricen med en polychorisk korrelationsmatrix. Den genskaber den latente kontinuerte variabel, som hvert polytomisk item antages at afspejle, hvilket giver mere nøjagtige faktormæssige belastninger og bedre definerede faktorstrukturer end at behandle ordinale scores, som om de var kontinuerte.
