Diskriminant validitet i Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) er evalueringsprocessen, der bekræfter, at en CAT-administreret skala måler sit tilsigtede konstrukt distinkt fra relaterede, men konceptuelt forskellige konstrukter. På trods af at den adaptive genudvælgelsesmekanisme varierer hvert respondentens genudvalg, skal der leveres evidens for, at CAT-afledte scorer ikke overlapper overdrevent med scorer fra teoretisk distinkte skalaer.
