Cuckoo Search — Lévy Flight Metaheuristic

Cuckoo Search (CS) er en populationsbaseret metaheuristisk optimeringsalgoritme introduceret af Xin-She Yang og Suash Deb i 2009. Den modellerer den obligatoriske redefugle-parasitisme hos gøglerfugle — som lægger æg i andre fugles reder — kombineret med Lévy-flight tilfældige vandringer, der muliggør udforskning af søgerummet over lange afstande. Algoritmen har vist sig effektiv inden for strukturelt ingeniørdesign, finjustering af hyperparametre i maskinlæring og andre kontinuerlige black-box optimeringsproblemer.
