Selection Sweep (Tajima's D)

Tajima's D er en statistisk test designet til at detektere selektions-sweeps—nylige, hurtige fikseringer af fordelagtige mutationer—fra mønstre af genetisk variation i DNA-sekvenser. Udviklet af Fumio Tajima i 1989, måler denne test afvigelser fra neutralitet ved at sammenligne forskellige mål for DNA-sekvensdiversitet. En signifikant Tajima's D-værdi indikerer afvigelse fra neutral evolution, hvilket antyder positiv selektion, populationsstruktur eller demografiske begivenheder.
