Design af diagnostisk nøjagtighedsstudie
Et diagnostisk nøjagtighedsstudie evaluerer, hvor godt en ny diagnostisk test (eller biomarkør, billeddannende modalitet, klinisk vurdering) detekterer tilstedeværelsen eller fraværet af sygdom sammenlignet med en reference-standard (guldstandard). Standardiseret siden 2003 af STARD-initiativet (Standards for Reporting of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies) er diagnostiske nøjagtighedsstudier fundamentale for klinisk medicin, idet de bestemmer, om og hvordan nye tests kan forbedre patientdiagnose og behandling.
