Multi-omisk proteomanalyse — Integrativ proteomik

Multi-omisk proteomanalyse integrerer proteinabundansdata fra massespektrometri med mindst ét yderligere omics-lag — såsom genomik, transkriptomik eller metabolomik — for at opbygge en systemisk oversigt over biologisk regulering. I stedet for at analysere proteiner isoleret korrelerer denne tilgang proteomiske profiler med opstrøms molekylære begivenheder (f.eks. DNA-varianter, mRNA-niveauer) og nedstrøms funktionelle aflæsninger (f.eks. metabolitkoncentrationer), hvilket muliggør opdagelse af regulatoriske drivkræfter, som enkelt-omics-analyser ville overse.
