L'Aprenentatge Actiu Federat (Federated Active Learning) combina l'eficiència d'anotació de l'aprenentatge actiu amb la descentralització que preserva la privadesa de l'aprenentatge federat. Es forma un model global compartit entre clients distribuïts, cadascun dels quals classifica de manera independent les seves dades locals sense etiquetar i sol·licita etiquetes només per als exemples més informatius, mantenint les dades brutes al dispositiu en tot moment.
