কমিউনিটি ডিটেকশন হলো গ্রাফ-পার্টিশনিং অ্যালগরিদমের একটি পরিবার যা একটি নেটওয়ার্কের মধ্যে ঘনভাবে সংযুক্ত উপ-গোষ্ঠী — কমিউনিটি — আবিষ্কার করে। এটি প্রথম মডুলারিটি পরিমাপের মাধ্যমে ফর্মাল রূপ লাভ করে Girvan এবং Newman (2002) দ্বারা, এরপর এই ক্ষেত্রটি দ্রুত অগ্রসর হয় Louvain পদ্ধতি (Blondel et al., 2008), Leiden পরিমার্জন (Traag et al., 2019), এবং তথ্য-তাত্ত্বিক Infomap পদ্ধতির মাধ্যমে। সমস্ত প্রকারভেদ একই প্রশ্নের উত্তর দেয়: নেটওয়ার্কের বাকি অংশের চেয়ে কোন নোডগুলি নিজেদের মধ্যে আরও দৃঢ়ভাবে ক্লাস্টার করে?
