طرح الخلفية هو تقنية معالجة فيديو تفصل الكائنات المتحركة في المقدمة عن الخلفية الثابتة أو المتغيرة ببطء عن طريق مقارنة كل إطار بنموذج خلفية متعلم أو مقدر. يستخدم طرح الخلفية على نطاق واسع في مراقبة الفيديو وكشف الحركة، مما يتيح كشف المقدمة بشكل قوي حتى في المشاهد المعقدة مع تغيرات الإضاءة.
