多元逻辑回归将二元逻辑回归扩展到具有三个或更多无序类别的结果。它将每个类别相对于选定参考类别的对数几率建模为预测变量的线性函数,并通过最大似然同时估计所有参数。当因变量是具有多个级别的定性变量时,它是标准选择。
