多案例扎根理论是一种定性研究设计，它将扎根理论的归纳编码逻辑嵌入到结构化的多案例框架中。研究人员不是从单一地点或访谈池中生成理论，而是在两个或更多有目的选择的案例中迭代地收集和分析数据，在案例内部和案例之间使用持续比较，直到达到理论饱和。最终形成的是一个植根于丰富、跨地点经验证据的实质性理论。
