Rooted in the phenomenological tradition of Husserl and Heidegger, it adds an explicit temporal dimension — asking not only what an experience is like, but how it evolves. Longitudinal narrative research is a qualitative design that follows participants across multiple time points, gathering and analyzing their stories to understand how experiences, identities, and meanings evolve over time.
