Bayesian Entropy Balancing
Bayesian Entropy balancing เป็นการต่อยอดแนวคิดของ entropy balancing แบบดั้งเดิม — ซึ่งเป็นการถ่วงน้ำหนักหน่วยควบคุมเพื่อให้โมเมนต์ของตัวแปรร่วม (covariate moments) ตรงกับกลุ่มที่ได้รับการรักษาพอดี — โดยการผนวกการถ่วงน้ำหนักนี้เข้ากับกรอบการทำงานแบบเบย์ (Bayesian framework) ซึ่งช่วยให้นักวิจัยสามารถรวมความเชื่อที่มีอยู่ก่อนเกี่ยวกับแนวโน้มการรักษา (treatment propensities) เผยแพร่ความไม่แน่นอนของพารามิเตอร์ไปยังค่าประมาณสุดท้ายของผลกระทบเชิงสาเหตุ (causal estimate) และได้รับช่วงความเชื่อมั่น (credible intervals) แทนที่จะเป็นเพียงช่วงความเชื่อมั่นแบบคลาสสิก (classical confidence intervals)
