Kanuni ya Uboreshaji wa Nyangumi (WOA) ni metaheuristic inayotegemea makundi iliyoanzishwa na Mirjalili na Lewis mwaka 2016. Inaiga mkakati wa uwindaji wa nyangumi aina ya humpback kwa kutumia "bubble-net", ambapo kundi la nyangumi huzunguka mawindo kwa umbo la spirali huku likizidi kukaza mzingiro. Kanuni hii inasawazisha uchunguzi wa jumla na unyonyaji wa ndani kupitia seti ndogo ya vigezo na imetumika sana katika matatizo ya uboreshaji endelevu wa kihandisi.
