Uamuzi wa Kuwasha/Kuzima Vitengo
Uamuzi wa Kuwasha/Kuzima Vitengo (UC) ni tatizo la kuamua ni vitengo gani vya uzalishaji wa umeme vinapaswa kuwashwa au kuzimwa katika kipindi cha upangaji (kwa kawaida saa 24-168) ili kupunguza gharama zote za uendeshaji huku kukidhi mahitaji na akiba. Lililoanzishwa na Baldwin et al. mwaka 1959, UC ni tatizo la msingi la upangaji katika uendeshaji wa mifumo ya umeme, likichanganya uboreshaji wa mchanganyiko (ni vitengo gani vya kuwasha/kuzima) na uboreshaji endelevu (uzalishaji bora wa umeme). UC inabaki kuwa moja ya matatizo muhimu na yenye changamoto kubwa ya kikokotozi katika mifumo ya umeme.
