Akustična telemetrija
Akustična telemetrija je metoda daljinskog praćenja u kojoj male elektronske predajnike pričvršćene ili usađene u životinje emituju jedinstvene akustične signale koje detektuju podvodne ili kopnene mreže prijemnika, omogućavajući praćenje kretanja, položaja i ponašanja životinja u realnom vremenu na velikim udaljenostima i tokom dužeg vremena. Razvijena u istraživanju ribarstva 1960-ih, akustična telemetrija je sada standard za proučavanje ekologije kretanja, vremena migracija i korišćenja staništa u vodenim, a sve više i u kopnenim sistemima.
