Kodovi sa niskom gustinom provere pariteta (LDPC)

LDPC kodovi, koje je izumeo Robert Galager 1962. godine, a ponovo otkrili devedesetih godina Makkej, predstavljaju linearne kodove za ispravljanje grešaka definisane retkim matricama provere pariteta. Oni postižu performanse unutar 0,4 dB Šenonove granice uz iterativno dekodovanje propagacijom verovanja i postali su standard za moderne bežične sisteme (WiFi-6, 5G NR, Digital Video Broadcasting). Za razliku od turbo kodova, LDPC kodovi imaju elegantniju grafno-teorijsku strukturu i zreliju teorijsku analizu.
