Bayesian Power Analysis (Assurance)

Bayesijanska analiza snage — takođe nazvana assurance — je metoda određivanja veličine uzorka koja zamenjuje frekventističku zamisao snage prosečnom vrednošću ponderisanom verovatnoćom preko apriorne raspodele veličine efekta. Prvi put formalizovana od strane Spiegelhalter-a i Freedman-a (1986) i dalje razvijena od strane O'Hagan-a, Stevens-a i Campbell-a (2005), ona odgovara na pitanje: s obzirom na našu trenutnu nesigurnost o stvarnom efektu, koja veličina uzorka nam daje visoku ukupnu verovatnoću dobijanja statistički značajnog rezultata?
