Merenje tehničkog duga

Tehnički dug predstavlja akumulirane prečice, odloženo održavanje i kompromise u dizajnu koji donose buduće troškove kroz sporiji razvoj, veće stope defekata i poteškoće u implementaciji. Uvedeno od strane Varda Kaningema (1992), merenje tehničkog duga kvantifikuje ova opterećenja koristeći metrike poput složenosti koda, dupliranja, nedostataka u pokrivenosti testovima i indeksa održivosti. Organizacije koriste merenje duga za balansiranje trenutne isporuke sa dugoročnom održivošću.
