Analiza pokrivenosti koda meri obim izvornog koda koji je izvršen test skupom, kvantifikujući koje linije, grananja ili putanje su aktivirane. Alati instrumentiraju kod za praćenje izvršavanja, izveštavajući procenat pokrivenosti i identifikujući netestirane regione. Analiza pokrivenosti usmerava kreiranje testova, detektuje mrtav kod i validira adekvatnost testova u procesima osiguranja kvaliteta.
