Determinističke ćelijske automate (DCA) je metoda simulacije koja modelira evoluciju složenih sistema kroz regularnu mrežu ćelija, od kojih svaka drži diskretno stanje, ažurirano sinhrono u svakom vremenskom koraku prema fiksiranom, determinističkom pravilu primenjenom na ćeliju i njene susede. Ishod je u potpunosti ponovljiv, pod uslovom istih početnih uslova i skupa pravila.
