Razvoj skale kompjuterizovanog adaptivnog testiranja (CAT) je proces konstruisanja, kalibracije i validacije velike banke stavki tako da algoritam procene može da odabere stavke prilagođene procenjenom nivou sposobnosti ili osobine svakog ispitanika u realnom vremenu. Rezultat je merni instrument koji postiže visoku preciznost sa manje stavki nego konvencionalni test fiksne forme.
