Mrežni difuzioni modeli — SIR, SIS i nezavisna kaskada

Mrežni difuzioni modeli su familija pregradnih (engl. compartmental) i probabilističkih okvira koji simuliraju širenje informacija, bolesti ili inovacija kroz povezani sistem. Ukorenjeni u matematičkoj epidemiologiji Kermacka i McKendricka (1927), SIR i SIS modeli dele čvorove u stanja i prate tranzicije vođene stopama kontakta i verovatnoćama oporavka. Modeli nezavisne kaskade (engl. Independent Cascade) i linearnog praga (engl. Linear Threshold), koje su formalizovali Kempe, Kleinberg i Tardos (2003), proširuju ovu logiku na društveni uticaj, modelujući kako se aktivacija širi kroz mrežu, sused po sused.
