Bejzijanska filogenetska analiza — Inferisanje evolutivnih stabala zasnovano na MCMC

Bejzijanska filogenetska analiza koristi Bejsovu teoremu i Monte Karlo uzorkovanje Markovskih lanaca (MCMC) za procenu posteriorne raspodele verovatnoće nad filogenetskim stablima i parametrima modela, uzimajući u obzir posmatrane podatke sekvenci. Za razliku od metoda maksimalne verodostojnosti sa bootstropom, koje vraćaju jedno najbolje stablo, Bejzijansko inferisanje daje kredibilan skup stabala sa pridruženim posteriornim verovatnoćama, pružajući principijelnu meru filogenetske neizvesnosti. To je dominantan okvir za procenu vremena divergencije i ancestralnih odnosa u molekularnoj evoluciji.
