Modeli i parashikimit të defekteve
Modeli i parashikimit të defekteve parashikojnë mundësinë e gabimeve softuerike në module kodi duke përdorur qasje statistikore ose të mësimit të makinerive. Pionierë nga Ostrand, Weyuker dhe Bell (2005), këto modele korrelojnë metrikën e kodit (kompleksiteti, ndryshimi, lidhja) me të dhënat historike të defekteve për të identifikuar komponentët me rrezik të lartë. Organizatat përdorin parashikime për të alokuar burime testimi, për të udhëhequr rishikimin e kodit dhe për të prioritizuar refaktorizimin.
