Analiza prin tabele de contingență (analiza tabelelor de contingență) este o tehnică descriptivă și inferențială fundamentală pentru examinarea relației dintre două sau mai multe variabile categorice. Aceasta aranjează frecvențele observate într-un tabel cu rânduri și coloane, permițând inspecția vizuală a tiparelor și testarea formală prin chi-pătrat a independenței dintre variabile.
