Diagrama de cutie ajustată este un instrument descriptiv robust introdus de Hubert și Vandervieren (2008) care corectează diagrama clasică de cutie bazată pe IQR pentru asimetrie, utilizând statistica medcouple, reducând astfel etichetarea eronată a valorilor aberante în datele asimetrice.
