ResumoThe Pediatric Sleep Questionnaire (PSQ) is a 22–24 item parent-report screening tool for sleep-disordered breathing and associated daytime dysfunction in children ages 2–18 years. Developed by Ronald Chervin at the University of Michigan in 2000, the PSQ measures three domains: symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea (snoring, witnessed apneas, gasping), daytime sleepiness and behavioral consequences, and sleep behavior problems (parasomnias, restlessness). It is widely used in pediatric primary care, ENT, and sleep medicine settings to identify children at risk for clinically significant sleep disorders. The Emotion Regulation Questionnaire for Children and Adolescents (ERQ-CA) is a 10-item self-report measure of emotion regulation strategies in children and adolescents ages 10–18 years. Based on Gross's process model of emotion regulation, the ERQ-CA assesses two key strategies: Cognitive Reappraisal (reinterpreting emotional situations to reduce emotional impact) and Expressive Suppression (inhibiting emotional responses). It is widely used in developmental psychology and clinical research to understand emotion management abilities and links to mental health outcomes.
