Selv-supervisert DBSCAN er en to-trinns uovervåket pipeline som først trener en nevral koder på en forhåndsbestemt oppgave — som kontrastiv læring eller maskert rekonstruksjon — for å produsere kompakte, semantisk meningsfulle innbygginger fra umerkede data, og deretter anvender DBSCAN i det resulterende innbyggingsrommet for å oppdage vilkårlig formede klynger uten behov for noen klasselabels.
