OPTICS

OPTICS (Ordering Points To Identify the Clustering Structure) er en tetthetsbasert klyngealgoritme introdusert av Ankerst, Breunig, Kriegel og Sander i 1999. Den generaliserer DBSCAN ved å prosessere punkter i en ordning som koder for den fulle tetthetsbaserte klynge-strukturen til et datasett, og muliggjør deteksjon av klynger med varierende tettheter gjennom et rekkeviddeplott (reachability plot) i stedet for å kreve en fast global tetthetsterskel.
