Kausal effektanalyse for politikkvurdering
Kausal effektanalyse for politikkvurdering (Policy Evaluation Causal Impact Analysis) anvender det bayesianske strukturelle tidsserierammeverket (Bayesian structural time-series, BSTS) av Brodersen et al. (2015) for å estimere kausaleffekten av en politisk intervensjon på aggregerte utfall. Ved å konstruere et syntetisk kontrafaktisk utfall fra data før politikken og kontrollkovariater, stilles spørsmålet: Hva ville ha skjedd dersom politikken ikke hadde blitt iverksatt? Forskjellen mellom observerte og predikerte utfall etter politikken er den estimerte politiske effekten.
