Interpretieve thematische analyse
Interpretieve thematische analyse is een vorm van thematische analyse die wordt uitgevoerd vanuit een epistemologisch interpretivistisch of constructivistisch standpunt. In plaats van thema's te behandelen als iets dat in de data aanwezig is en ontdekt moet worden, construeert de onderzoeker actief betekenis door zijn of haar interactie met de data. Voortbouwend op het systematische raamwerk van Braun en Clarke, legt de interpretieve variant de nadruk op de theoretische bril en reflexiviteit van de onderzoeker, wat resulteert in een analyse die verder gaat dan beschrijving om uit te leggen hoe sociale, culturele of contextuele krachten de verslagen van deelnemers vormgeven.
